Database Design & Management

This one-year, honors-level program was developed in cooperation with Oracle Corporation and leads to certification in one of the most widely used software applications in the business world, including e-commerce. This course focuses on database development, design, normalization and Structured Query Language (SQL) programming. Students also study database programming, which introduces Procedural Language/Structured Query Language (PL/SQL). PL/SQL is Oracle Corporation’s standard data access language for relational databases. An in-depth study of database programming with PL/SQL prepares students for the Oracle Certification Exam. Students also develop, design and manage web pages using HTML and GUI editors.
