This one-year course is designed to provide students with an understanding of what the law is and how it works in a legal firm. Students will study workplace skills, legal ethics, office procedures, business law, criminal law, property law, domestic law, and real estate law. Advanced students with transportation and few absences will be able to participate in student internships in approved law firms and area courts during second semester. A lab fee is required. Former Student Interns have become lawyers, intelligence analysts, bank managers, paralegals, legal assistants, insurance adjusters, court clerks, human resources managers, accountants, and office managers.
